Cheesy Almond-Crusted Seafood Quiche

Instead of a pastry crust, this quiche has a layer of Swiss cheese with almonds. Crabmeat and shrimp, plus eggs and cream, go on top.
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup sliced almonds
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese, divided
- 8 ounces cooked crabmeat, flaked
- 8 ounces cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1/2 cup green onion slices
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- Paprika

Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread almonds in pie plate. Sprinkle evenly with 1 cup cheese. Place in oven for about 10 minutes, or until cheese melts. Remove from oven; top with crabmeat, shrimp and green onions. Combine eggs, cream, salt and pepper. Pour over seafood. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Sprinkle lightly with paprika. Return to oven and bake about 45 minutes or until set. Allow to stand for 10 minutes before cutting to serve.
Notes: This makes a wonderful brunch or luncheon main dish.
